Client: English Heritage, Stonehenge
Location: Salisbury, UK
English Heritage employed MAKON to build this customised 20ft container. This was used as a temporary café whilst they carried out refurbishment of their permanent one.
As this was to be located within a World Heritage Site the build had to complement the existing building. We cladded it in a Sweet Chestnut and then treated it to some special stain to help accelerate the weathering process.
Internally it has stainless steel counters, hygienic wall/ceiling cladding and non slip flooring
We added some cool fabric signage which provides various information to visitors.
